It has been quite some time since I've updated my blog. So much has happened since my last post and I have been meaning to write, it just hasn't happened! Also, I don't want you guys to think I write just so you can read my words and be hear all about my life. I want to write when I feel Spirit-lead and when I know he has something for me to share.. My life and it's experiences are here to be shared so that you may be encouraged through what the Lord is doing. I'm here to testify God is on the move and like my last post, He will not relent until He has it all.
QUICK LIFE UPDATE:

My sister Vaughan had baby Margo in November and she was born extremely healthy. Also, over Christmas break we got the news that Vaughan and Tim were moving from New York back to the farm! Tim was given a job as Marketing DIrector at Farmlinks so they have moved back to Sylacauga and are working on settling into their new home. This past January I interviewed and accepted an internship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Birmingham so this summer I will be working up there and living with my sister, Chrissy. The Lord has been so good in providing for me and my family lately, but I'm here to say He would still be equally as good even if things would have turned out differently. If you could be praying for my family right now, we got the news that the golf course's storage unit burned down in the middle of the night last Tuesday which housed all the maintenance and golf equipment. As you may be able to realize, its a pretty stressful thing that no one saw coming so please pray for wisdom over my grandfather and my dad. On a lighter note, I can't believe I am done with college in a couple months! The real world is fast approaching and I don't feel prepared, but I am so excited about what this next chapter brings (unlike many other college seniors haha I'm looking forward to it). Oh, and if you don't watch college sports, Auburn won the BCS National Championship game in Arizona on January 11, 2011..
I started my internship at the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Birmingham, AL, May 11th and will be there until July 29th (or maybe longer- that's still to be determined). I say that because one of my co-workers is pregnant and due in August so they may need the help in the office. No need to stress about what will come after that date so right now I am just basking in the gloriousness of working 8-5 (sometimes later) and enjoying the company of all my awesome co-workers.
We had our Run for Wishes 5k last weekend at Alabama Adventure and, just so you are aware, it was a success! I have never planned anything ever in my life and so that whole entire process was very new to me. When I was at Auburn, I never was involved with really anything on campus but for some reason after that event, I feel like I've done it all my life. You ready for the big news? Apparently, we have a Ride for Wishes later on this year and guess who is planning that.... That's right. Me. It's going to be my little project all summer which rocks my life. Once I know more about what is involved with that, I will definitely keep you posted.
I've had some pretty incredible opportunities with my job. The week leading up to the 5k I was able to go on the radio with my supervisor, John Sweeney, and promote our Run for Wishes on 100.5. This radio station happens to be on the 3rd story of our building and it's like everyone is family. Anyways, I'm not sure if you knew this but I used to be in a girl band with my sisters back in the day. It's one of those things I never really liked to throw out at people because it's kind of embarrassing. Well, on the way up the elevator, John asked if I had ever been on the radio before. Of course, I was like "Yeah I have. My sisters and I used to be in this girl band and we went in for an interview one time with WDJC.....". WHY DID I EVER SAY ANYTHING? Once we got up to the studio, I was given my own microphone across from John and the radio host, Matt Murphy. As we were preparing to go on air, John drops the news with Matt about my deep, dark girl band past which pretty much sums up the rest of the radio segment. I spent about a solid 5 minutes ON AIR answering questions about my girl band days... It was quite humorous really; especially when he asked me to sing a version of the Sound of Music before signing off.
Oh... And I am pretty much finished at Auburn University. Graduating on August 6th! WOO!

So far I am loving Birmingham and all the people I have met. It's been a stretch for sure for me personally, but I love the newness of it all. I've been going to Brook Hills for church and they have this incredible series going on right now on how to become biblical men and women. If you're not in the area I highly recommend you podcast it from their website.
I am really excited about sharing with you what the Lord is going to do in my life this summer. Because of the new location and the lack of familiar faces, I will have to reach out and trust the Lord in new ways this summer. He has already done so much in my life this year in rocking my life and revealing Himself to me in ways I never dreamed possible. He has shown Himself to be an all-forgiving God who is rich in grace and unfailing mercy. Hopefully in the days to come I will be able to share my journey with you in a little more personal way but as of now, I am at the lake with the family for Memorial Day weekend and the grandness of the outdoors is calling my name.
